Meyer Lansky is a legend and, now, part of his legacy-photographs, handwritten letters and personal effects-is on display at the Rascal House in Sarasota. Lansky was known to have successfully joined together the major organized crime families into what became known as the "National Crime Syndicate." The role of Hyman Roth in THE GODFATHER, PART 2, was based on Meyer Lansky. Lansky’s son, Buddy, married a Rascal House waitress.
